1. 1. Will you lend for either domestic or international adoption?
Yes.

2. Can I apply before my homestudy is completed?
We can process your loan only after your homestudy is completed, by a licensed agency or social worker, and submitted as part of your loan application.

3. Can I apply if I do not live, but work in New York?
You must be a resident of the five boroughs of New York City or of Westchester, Nassau or Suffolk counties.

4. Can I apply if I am single or live with a domestic partner?
Yes.

5. How do you determine financial need?
Our guidelines are flexible and we take into account the applicants' entire financial situation. We generally lend to couples who jointly earn less than $100,000 per year and to singles who earn less than $60,000 per year.

6. Do you charge interest or fees?
We do not charge any interest or fees for our loans.

7. Can I apply if my spouse is not Jewish, but we have a serious intent to build a Jewish family and raise our child Jewish.

8. Can I apply if my credit history is not perfect?
Yes.

9. How long does it take to review my application and for me to get a decision?
We normally make loan decisions within two weeks of the completion of your application process.
